She blocked me, is it my fault?

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS

There’s this Girl I have been messaging Hi, Hi. Since 2011,
she nor fit reply.
Yesterday I wrote “35589223456241”
Three minutes later, she was like
“HELLO DEAR, WHICH NETWORK’S AIRTIME IS THAT”?
I replied
“NOKIA touch IMEI serial nunmber”
she insulted & blocked me afterwards…

Abeg is it my fault?

Prayer: My silent letter to God

Dear Lord,
I know I am one of the most disappointing sons you’ve ever adopted.
I know I’ve failed you many more times than even the devil has planned.
That’s why I am shocked at why you still love me this much.
There is absolutely no reason for you to bless me,
No rationale to prosper me,
Except that you love me for nothing.

I reap where I never sowed
I receive outstanding results where I did not work hard enough
Even when I did nothing, something more than expected comes out of it

I wish I could at least live up to YOUR expectation, plans and purpose for my existence
I wish I could repay You for the past alone
Let alone the present, or future.
I am forever indebted to you dear Lord

Even if you do nothing more for me from now till I breathe my last breath
What you have done is more than enough to try and reciprocate
You are God
And I am yours

All I ask
is that I fulfil
Not my aspirations
But your purpose
Not my will
But Yours be done

Are there people still alive from when Jesus was on earth?

Image

Many have asked this question, especially after seeing the book of John 21:21-23

John 21:21-23

King James Version (KJV)

21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

Looking also at the book of Mark 9:1

Mark 9:1

King James Version (KJV)

9 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Does this mean that there are some people are still alive from the time Jesus Christ was on earth? Does it mean that some people will not die until Jesus comes back again?

Explanation

Taking these two verses, one at a time:

JOHN 21:23

King James Version (KJV)

23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said NOT unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

The Bible here says, Jesus did not tell him that he shall not die, but from another translation,

John 21:22-23

The Message (MSG)

22-23 Jesus said, “If I want him to live until I come again, what’s that to you? You—follow me.” That is how the rumor got out among the brothers that this disciple wouldn’t die. But that is not what Jesus said. He simply said, “If I want him to live until I come again, what’s that to you?”

Then the second reference from the gospel of Mark is usually also misquoted as saying some will not die till the Kingdom of God comes (signifying the second coming of Jesus Christ). This is not so. The kingdom of God coming with power is also promised in Acts of the Apostles.

Acts 1:8

King James Version (KJV)

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The kingdom of God coming with power actually meant the manifestation of Pentecost. It was finally revealed in the next two chapters. Read it here (courtesy of Bible Gateway)

It is important that we fully understand the scripture, so that we are not misled.

May God expand our knowledge of Him, as we continually search the scripture.

Amen

Is he really born again?

Sunday school in progress – discussion about being born again, the teacher asks “Who here is not born again?” A young man puts up his hands. I am shocked at his boldness to do this, then she says to us all, “Everyone please bow down your heads, close your eyes, and say this prayer with me:
Lord Jesus
I come to you
I acknowledge I am a sinner
I come to you with your sins
Forgive me
Accept me as your child
I repent of my sins
I will not go back to them again
I am now born again
In Jesus’ name I pray
Amen

After this prayer, she says to the young man “Sir, from now on, you are born again”

My question here is,
IS HE REALLY BORN AGAIN?

Innovate, or become extinct

RIP

Nokia humiliated Motorola 13-years ago and became the world’s biggest phone vendor.. 4-years ago, they ignored the iOS and continued intimacy with the decayed Symbian OS.. Just like BlackBerry, making a news OS to rival either iOS or Android was a bigger task than ending the war in Syria. Nokia and BlackBerry have been consumed! They are no where to be found in the top-10 smartphones. No innovation, No creativity…

This is so because they decided to stick with an old and discredited business philosophy while Samsung and the highly rated Apple took the risk that opened the new world order of smartphones.

The point is this; never let your comfort zone deceive you, mega companies have been deceived and got lost in their line of businesses. You are not special! No one is indispensable!

As an individual:

1. Continue to research and buy books. Improve your intellect. Expand your knowledge. Don’t stop learning. If you do, you start decaying.

2. Don’t stop providing solutions. Immediately you stop being a problem-solver, you become irrelevant, and nobody wants to associate with someone that’s got nothing to offer.

As a business:

1. Innovate. Invest in Research and Development. If you have a start-up that is great today, constantly improve it.

2. Think of new ideas. If you cannot think of new ideas, improve the existing ones.

3. Know what the market wants. They are your lifeline. If you cannot satisfy their ever growing needs, they will not feed you, and you will die a natural death.

Learn from Motorola.

Learn from Nokia.

Learn from Blackberry.

Endpoint…

Employ my 70-30 approach. 70% of your income goes back to your business, 10% to God (yes God because the God-factor is most important in your life), 10% for savings and the other 10% to grow your mind with “good” books

Later on, you can begin to alter the percentage. If you have a business and you keep consuming all your revenue, sooner or later, you would become irrelevant!

Emmanuel Emenike Shoots Down Ethiopian Airline to Brazil 2014

SoccerGunz

With Club football on pause mode as FIFA takes center stage as regards qualification for Brazil 2014, attention turned to national teams. Without an Arsenal encounter to view and with Enyimba grabbing all three points at home in the Glo NPFL, the Nigerian encounter away to Ethiopia was top on my schedule. goal.com reports that:

The Super Eagles went to Addis Ababa and conquered both the altitude and the Walya Antelopes in the first leg of their World Cup qualifier on Sunday. Nigeria conquered the high altitude of Ethiopia with a 2-1 victory as they signified a firm interest in making a fifth appearance in the World Cup in Brazil.

Emmanuel Emenike was the hero for the Super Eagles as he scored the equalizer and the winner in the 89th minute. Ethiopia had gone ahead in the 56th minute when Vincent Enyeama mis-judged a cross from Assefa and the referee…

TUTORIAL: Stop those annoying “Sent from my Blackberry” signatures

Most times we use our smartphones to send emails, and sometimes our work emails are configured on these devices. In the era of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), this is usually the case. We can now reply emails on the go, and offer support and assistance from the comfort of our homes. This is a great idea, but there is a slight annoyance that smartphone users usually ignore, and since, to me, it has become an issue of concern, I have to speak my mind.

The “Sent from my mobile device”  I see on most emails I receive these days is increasingly becoming annoying. In fact, according to LifeHacker.com, it is the worst email annoyance you should avoid, and I certainly agree. Continue reading

Offline blogging for bloggers: Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I love sharing ideas. And that is why I set up this blog – to share ideas and solutions to problems I encounter. There are a couple of blogging platforms available, including BlogSpot (by Google), WordPress, TypePad, etc.

The Problem

Sometimes, though, as a blogger, I may have some things to share, but I may be offline and unable to access the WordPress new post page (In a society like mine, being always online is really big luxury). I could use a formatted text editor like Microsoft Word or Open Office to do this, but what if I wanted to have the feel of my cool WordPress theme? What if I wanted an option to, instead of copying and pasting into the webpage (and probably lose formatting), I could edit this post “as it is”? These questions I asked myself until I came across Microsoft Windows Live Writer. Continue reading

Twitter Opens Tweet Archive Access For Users In 12 More Languages, Including Farsi, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Malay and Spanish

TechCrunch

Today Twitter announced that it would be ramping up its archiving tool to cover people who use the service in 12 non-English languages: Dutch, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish and Spanish — giving the company one more way of engaging with its international audience, now 70% of its 200 million-monthly user base. The ability to access your own archive of tweets — which lets you see everything you tweeted and retweeted, and lets you retweet those tweets yet again — was first launched last year, in December, as a service only for those using Twitter in English.

It looks like today’s move has also made access to your English-language archive more widely available also to those using Twitter outside the U.S. Before today that functionality also had a limited release.

Twitter made the announcement just moments ago, on Twitter.
