Stop the annoying 4040 messages from glo

If you are a glo user (and maybe an airtel user too) and you receive unsolicited SMS messages from 4040 (or 547 for airtel), there now is a way to stop these SMS messages.

These, I have discovered are category-specific information sent from the service provider. These categories could be Health, Love, Facts, Food etc. The downside is, not all of us are interested in any of these kinds of info. And they pretty become annoying, since they cannot just go away by telling then “Hey stop delivering in my inbox!”.

If you in such class of “aggrieved” users, you can stop (or unsubscribe from) these text messages.

To unsubscribe for a category, send an sms with the body ==> unsub “category” to 4040 (without quotes) e.g. unsub health
